5K LENS

The new 5K Lens tone formula was developed for the alpine environment. 5K enhances contrast and boosts color brilliance by filtering specific wave lengths of the visual spectrum, therefore revealing more details and assuring a safer, less tiring on-snow experience in any weather condition. 

POLARIZED LENS

Polarized lenses are laminated with tiny vertical stripes that only allow vertically angled light to enter the wearer's eyes. Glare is eliminated because the horizontal light waves cannot bypass the vertical filter. This is resulting in increased color and contrast perception, increased attention and reduces tiring.

WHAT’S BEHIND THE 5K LENS TECHNOLOGY?

Lens technology is based on the principle to filter the incoming, visible light and optimize the ­perception of color and contrast. Depending on the purpose of a specific lens, those filter ­characteristics are different and are reflected in the transmission curve. The most important factor to define the characteristics of the lens is the lens dye. The formula for this lens dye is the highest brand asset — HEAD’s formula is called 5K.

WHICH LENS IS FOR WHAT?

The most important factor to define the characteristics of the lens is the lens dye. Depending on the formula of the dye, the filter characteristics can be optimized to only focus on specific wavelengths of the visual light spectrum, hence controlling brightness, color brilliance and contrast. The 5K lens options are developed to cover all weather conditions, from sunny to snowy days and all in between.
